We complimented each others animal --he was Zebra and I was Cheetah. Today was the last day of the family visits for the holidays and I had a great time. I went to visit my in-laws with my hubby and we had a wonderful dinner at their restaurant.

I actually wore this same outfit in Nov. for a trade show in Las Vegas but thought this outfit deserved a revisit because I felt great in it--besides, my hubby didn't see me in it the first time around.

Nice Booty

These pictures were taken at 11pm at night, so hopefully that will explain the tired look I have in my face. I have a secret crush on a brand called cake couture, my love for cashmere and Swarovski Crystals combined with fabulous sayings and designs just make me go GaGa over these.

My Mother-in-law bought me my first one a few years back and I've been buying one a year ever since. Hopefully I'll have more opportunities to wear them.

Going back to school

I've had these shoes for a very long time and till this day I had no idea what to wear them with. I decided to give this look a try and I feel like I'm going to back to school. I guess the pony tail and the headband doesn't help the look but it was the only way I was able to style the shoes.

The Calculus book is not mine, but my hubby's--can you believe he actually reads this thing for enjoyment and relaxation ( insert freaky face) I married a very smart man and he comes up with beautiful mind kind of crap....its mind blowing sometimes...just don't get him started about science...my whole back yard is full of science projects :)

Layers and more layers

I wanted to take a picture of myself yesterday, but someone gave me a bunch of cookies and I decided to eat them that moment. By the time I got home I felt like a flocked tree because I was covered in powdered sugar, but they were so yummy!

Purple is my friend.

I have to admit, I am loving the color purple...red has always been my signature color but for some reason I'm leaning towards purple this week. I added the black belt on purpose to give me some sort of neutral, but overall I was very happy with my look...not bad for literally trying to leave the door in 5 min.

Introducing my new leopard print sweater!

Back in September I bought a leopard print sweater that I wasn't to fond of and gave it away to my niece. I did end up going back to Macy's and buying the one I'm wearing today and I like it 100 times better.

I'm so happy I decided to wear it today because I really did feel cute! I'll be going out of town the first week of January, so I want to start planning my outfits now, because living out of your suit case for a week isn't fun ~ do-able...but not fun.

Happy Birthday Mama!

Today is my mother's birthday and I bought her a blender :) Well, other things too--but she had to open the blender box to see the extra gifts I put inside the blender.

My husband says the first picture looks like I'm about to strip, but I think its wishful thinking on his part ;) Today was a good day, but I'm happy tomorrow is Friday!

Tuesday & Wednesday

I recently purchased this red jersey dress from Banana Republic (I heart you BR!) I've been looking for a red dress for a long time and finally found something that was simple and comfy like my pajamas :) It sort of bubbles up on top which is a feature I'm not to fond of, but other than that its the perfect red dress IMO.

I already have visions of how I can dress up or dress down this dress and I can't wait for my man to take me out at night so I can wear it as a night dress :)

Some of my co-workers had a weight loss contest and it ended yesterday...boy, was this the wrong dress to wear--It is a wool dress and it had to weigh 2 lbs..so I was bummed I forgot about the contest and I wish I wore something lighter...but I was warm!
OHHH--the scale said I lost 4 lbs in 1 month...I was happy with that, but I didn't win...the winner lost 13 lbs...which is fantastic and she looks great!

My husband loves to watch Tabatha's Salon Takeover on Bravo, however he won't watch any TV without me, so I had to sit there at watch a few episodes and was inspired with her black wardrobe. I feel black is a little to harsh on me (compared to brown) but since I was seeing a customer on Friday I decided to wear the black.

This morning I woke up to rain...I do like rain, I just wish I wasn't driving in it, but overall I wanted to show you my brown trench, since you've seen most of my colored ones.

Not completely excited about this outfit, I think I need more inspiration, time to look at more blogs :) I've been on a pant kick, so I will probably wear pants this whole week. Out of commission for a while

From my family to your family ~Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Happy Thanksgiving all!!! I woke up this morning ran a 10K (59 min 32 sec) and started cooking for Thanksgiving at my sister's house. My nephew who is studying to be a chef, is doing Thanksgiving dinner, but I was asked to make some salads, so here is my pasta salad, fruit salad, vegetable salad and a fat-free, sugar free ginger bread (both my parents are diabetic)

I love the holidays, it makes me appreciate what I have--I'm enjoying my life immensely and very grateful for everything and everyone who has come into my life.
