red, white and blue/black
I purchased a skirt that was very fun and spring like. I really wanted to wear it today, but I thought the outfit was perfect for an event that is happening at my work on Thursday, so you will have to wait until then to see my fun skirt.
Since my outfit was on the 'I'll wear it later' list, I had to find something quick and this is what I came up with.

more thrifting
I was so excited over my good fortune last week on my thrift purchase that I decided to wear the Michael Kors skirt I purchased. Today at lunch I went to another thrift store 'Good Will" normally I don't go to thrift stores because I do not have the patience for it. I like going into a store find what I need and leave. Its hard to go to a thrift store (for me) and look at every single thing to see if its in my size and double check there are no stains or whatever might be wrong with it. Since I had a great time on Thursday I decided to do it again during my lunch today. The prices were way higher because it was called a Good Will boutique "Classic Closet" so a pair of of Ann Taylor pants that were gently used sold for $19.99. Personally I though it was a little to high for used pants, but I guess when Ann Taylor pants go for more than that I presume that's reasonable????? Not sure, you tell me....would you pay $19.99 for a pair of Ann Taylor pants at Good Will? I think if they were for $10.oo I would have gotten them.

Stacy London inspired
I saw an old episode of TLC 'What Not to Wear' and Stacy was wearing a similar jacket, with dark jeans but had colored heels and a leopard printed tie blouse. I don't own a leopard printed tie blouse, but I own leopard shoes and a colored tie blouse. So I decided to reverse the two and this is what I came up with. I am in love with the look!

My salvation
I kept taking off the jacket because it was a hot 87 degrees outside, I was very happy to be wearing walking shorts, wedges and a short sleeve shirt. Normally when I drive around for my job, during lunch I normally visit the local Target in the city that I am in, which probably explains my collection of Target clothes.
There is no Target in the city of Chatsworth and since I couldn't leave the city I just drove around until I found something. Well--I found a Salvation Army and it was having its 1 day only 50% off sale. I purchased -- Coach sandals, Aldo mules, leather belt, Michael Kors denim skirt and gap pants for my mom all for $16.oo. Can you say score!

Navy Pants
I have certain things on my wish list. A red short sleeve button up red blouse, a black vest, etc. A navy suit was on my list too and I finally bought one. It took me a while because I really wanted a Navy suit with some sort of subtle pattern. I could never find it, but good o'l Calvin Klein had a plain navy suit on sale, so I took it! Today I just wore the pants, but I've been dying for a pair of navy pants.

open or closed?
I couldn't decide if I wanted to wear this outfit open or closed. I chose closed (hopefully I made the right choice) Also, it took me a long time to wear this blouse, I had it for a while and I had no idea what to pair it up with. I consider it more as a tunic than a blouse, and for a good hour I tried everything from skirts, shorts and different kinds of pants. This outfit was finally the winner.

Back on the road
I'm an outside sales person, so today was my first day visiting customers face to face. My boss joined me and I was pretty excited over that. Its kind of nice to have someone with you, because I can take the carpool lanes. Sounds dorky but not getting stuck in LA traffic is a dream!
Today I wore a jacket over my outfit and when it was warm enough I took it off. Also I'm not wearing any jewelery in the picture, but I did put some on before I walked out the door.

Springs colors- Winter feel
Today I woke up to thunder storms and rain...2 hours later, the sun came out and its a cool breezy morning. My Husband I will be doing some errands this morning. So I thought it was a great opportunity to wear the shirt I purchased from Old Navy (love that store) I like this look, it was my 'when winter met spring' moment.

Thank you!
I wanted to start off by saying thank you to the lurkers, lookers, readers and followers that I have. I was pleased that I had comments and was grateful to have them. Personally I don't mind a little flaming too (in a constructive way of course!) A) especially if my outfits are horrible, B) I don't want to embarrass myself again and C) I want to learn and improve.
I also wanted to comment on my job again. I was impressed today with the women in my office not because of their outfits (they all did look good) but I didn't realize how smart and experienced they are in our field. I'm very proud to be part of this team (I myself have been doing it for 17 years) so I love it when people are passionate about their jobs.
I also realized I have 5 pairs of black pants today, I hope people in my office don't think I keep wearing the same ones, especially if I do it back to back. Plus I was running a little late so I didn't have any make-up on in these pictures.

86 degrees and still freezing
I think its crazy how freezing the office is!!!! It was sunny and a hot 86 degrees outside and I'm in a jacket with pants, but I'm the new kid, so I don't like complaining (well maybe only to you) I'm thinking of pulling out the turtle necks and winter wear. I do notice they dress really nice, one girl's hair looked amazing. I'm telling you girls, just give yourself an extra 10-15 min and you'll see how amazing you look.

All covered up
I totally forgot it was St. Patty's day today, so I forgot to wear green, but a nice girl in the office bought me a green necklace, so that was cool. On my first day of employment the AC was on full blast and I was freezing yesterday. So today I came prepared with layers. The AC was on full blast again, so I was very happy to be warm plus I was invited to an unexpected business dinner with the top 50 people in the company, so again I was happy I looked professional and warm.

Black & Brown
Today was my first day of employment. I'm ready to hit the ground running and I can't seem to do that until I have the basics given to me(phone, business cards, customer list, etc.) So basically for 8 hours I sat around all day and that's pretty much what I'm going to do all week, but I did notice the dress code seems to be pretty casual
I'm so grateful to admire fashion minded bloggers --YOU are the reason I dress up every day. I wish more people dressed up. What's wrong with looking nice and put together with a dash of polish? If I do wear Jeans it will be only on Fridays and I will make sure that looks fashionable.

I think I got it!
The best thing I could have done was turn off the flash, plus I put the pictures in the center. Talk about making a difference...Wow! My hubby and I celebrated my new job by going out to lunch, something we took for granted because spending money was a luxury since for a short 2 weeks I was jobless. Also, you can't tell in the picture but I was eating an ice cream. I'm so excited for tomorrow, can't wait to start my new job.

love brown & teal
My husband is bothered by the fact that I keep taking pictures in the bathroom, but the ironic thing is he is also bothered if he takes my picture. Which I find it funny actually. I need to invest in a better camera with an tripod or something. I also need to go back to my post and edit most of them due to punctuations and unnecessary words. Obviously I'm not a professional writer or blogger, I'm just a gal who rambles and keeps on rambling.

oh, I'm on the look out for a short sleeve button down red collar blouse and a simple jet black vest. This is what gets me in trouble when I go shopping because when I'm on a mission, I see other stuff I like and I buy. If I can find these two things on-line, it will not only save my pocket book, but keep me out of the stores.
Thanks for looking!

and the winner is....
I went to my 3rd interview yesterday and I was offered the job. I'm in love because out of all the potentials I had this was the one I wanted. It is similar to my old job and it will let me work from home... Yeah!!!! I felt very bad for letting the other potential employers know I was not accepting their job offers, because it was really more of a favor they offered me employment (considering this down turn in the economy) so I let them know today. This was the winning outfit that got the job when I met the president of the company. I'm so excited...back to my daily outfits again...
