Out of commission for a while

I was hit by the flu last night, that today I'm feeling worse. I don't plan to post for a while since the last thing I want to do is get dressed up. I'll post something on Monday, have a fun and fantastic weekend :)

From my family to your family ~Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Happy Thanksgiving all!!! I woke up this morning ran a 10K (59 min 32 sec) and started cooking for Thanksgiving at my sister's house. My nephew who is studying to be a chef, is doing Thanksgiving dinner, but I was asked to make some salads, so here is my pasta salad, fruit salad, vegetable salad and a fat-free, sugar free ginger bread (both my parents are diabetic)

I love the holidays, it makes me appreciate what I have--I'm enjoying my life immensely and very grateful for everything and everyone who has come into my life.

So to all of you who stop by my blog...Thank you!!!! its appreciated :)

my rant on long sleeve shirts.

I'm a huge fan of long sleeve shirts, that I felt the need to purchase more. I originally only owned 2 long sleeve shirts (both silk) but NY&Co was having a sale on their cotton long sleeve blouses that I decided to buy 4 of them. My previous yellow shirt was part of my purchase, but I'm still deciding if I like them or not...for some reason I'm not feeling these shirts.

I need to do something with my hair, my bangs are to long and its lost its style since I've been trying to grow it out--both my husband and my parents want me to grow my hair long...I don't care one way or the other, I just want a style that's going to look good on me and last me longer than 4 weeks...any suggestions?

I'm back!!!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while...my sister got really sick--to the point where we thought we were going to lose her. Went to Vegas and had a great time, however didn't get a chance to take pictures mainly because I forgot my clothes again!!!!

Yes, I know...how does this happen twice? not sure, but it did. Of course I had to sneak away and go to the outlet malls to find something...I didn't think I did a bad job replacing the outfits, just spent more money then they should have cost.

These two outfits were before Vegas....I'm hoping to do a fashion show soon with the outfits I forgot to take photo's of--we'll see.

Going on another trip Tuesday...looking forward to it...

I've been very busy! Next week I'm off to Las Vegas for a trade show and I need to figure out what to wear. I had an important meeting yesterday, so I had to go as plain Jane-- mainly because I wanted to 'fit in' instead of 'standout' --but I did wear one of my color trenches :)

The purple dress with leather jacket was originally inspired by a magazine, I'll try to post the picture when I have more time, but I was invited to a girls night out and wanted to sport the look.
