You've Got Mail

I'm on my blackberry all the time--I heart my blackberry very much. I have a trade show tomorrow, so I kept getting e-mail after e-mail because I haven't received the items I needed to display yet for tomorrow, so I ended up taking a picture with my blackberry at work...Luckily the items arrived later that day, but I need to put in some late hours tonight to make sure I have everything that I need for the show.

I don't usually carry purses with me since I normally carry a laptop bag but I thought this purse would look great with this outfit so I took it out of its dust bag. Plus my hubby bought me some Nike+ Air running shoes since my other ones were falling apart, I hope I get better soon (still have a cough) because I want to really break them in.

Wardrobe Capsule--Day 3

Doing this wardrobe challenge proves to me that I don't need anymore clothes. Its seems I can go a week with the same 2 pants, 1 dress, 2 shirts, 1 vest, 1 sweater and 1 jacket plus 2 shoes and 5 accessories. I'm pretty amazed at myself that I could do this, because its a lot easier than I thought.

I think my version of this outfit looks very busy, to much going on, I think? thoughts? I needed an excuse to wear the skirt and shoes, and instead of the belt I wore a necklace. I guess simple is better? or maybe I should accept my choice and be confident about it!

Becky week

Keeping up with my inspiration week, this week we have Becky from Gilding the Frilly I love her killer shoes and even though I do own similar color heels, I felt this skirt was to short that I needed to convert to flats in order to not make the skirt any shorter.

My favorite part of this outfit is the color combo...turquoise, camel, yellow and purple...wow who would have thought--talk about a match made in heaven.

Until I saw this picture of InStyle 07' Guide it had never occurred to me that cropped jeans can look sophisticated. I do plan to do this look again with the tie blouse and peep-toe heels, but I've been wanting to wear this blouse for a long time and thought this was the perfect way to dress it up.

I'm telling you, I really do think I dress better with some sort of inspiration.

rain again?

Rain wouldn't bother me so much if I wasn't driving in it. Yesterday it rain very hard with thunder and lightning and even though it was pretty to watch, driving in it can get a little scary especially when the people around you are not use to it.

I don't know how I feel about this sweater, I don't think it flatters me to well and I wish the neckline was a little lower, but overall I like the color combo and the bottom 1/2 of the outfit.

One of the many reason why I do this blog...trial and error--checking out what looks good or not.

6 more weeks of winter

This outfit was inspired by a post made by The Bargain Hunter Extraordinaire She wrote: "I learned a long time ago that sometimes when Spring won't come to you; you have to go to it."
and I of course agree with that statement.

However, living in Southern California, we really do not have a winter like the east coast, but cold is still cold in my book and sometimes you just need a bit of sunshine.

This photo was taken at the end of a very long day. Not only did I run a 1/2 marathon yesterday but trying to do a Super Bowl party and go to work the next day can get the wind knocked out of you, so hopefully tomorrow I won't look so tired.

Still learning
